Paper and Graphic Arts

This 110-page publication, coordinated by CEIN, gives a structured vision of the situation and prospects of the paper and graphic arts sector, with particular attention to the subsector of pulp, paper and cardboard manufacturers.

Canned Fruit and Vegetables

Navarre has more than 180 vegetable processing companies. The conclusion of the study recommends that they should "establish more aggressive strategies through the creation of alliances, consortia and commercial groupings, and go for export markets". The development of new products, strengthening the level of computerisation in the different business areas, and collaborating with technological centres are some of the most noteworthy recommendations.

Manufacturers of Machinery and Equipment

In the prologue to this publication of almost 200 pages, this sector is defined as "key to industrial competitiveness". It is one of the studies made by the Plan to Drive Business Initiatives, and entities such as AIN, CEIN, CETENASA and a team of external experts have worked on the data collection and editing. Fifteen business diagnoses were made. The study ends with a number of proposals, among the creation of a centralised purchasing office and joint after-sales services.

Rubber and plastic

A 180-page publication on a sector "that shows optimal prospects for growth" according to the foreword by the Regional Minister of Industry and Technology, Commerce, Tourism and Employment, Nuria Iturriagagoitia Ripoll. Its added value represents 3% and the investment stands at 4.8 of the total for industry in Navarre in 1998, the year when the study was carried out.
