Laboratorios Cinfa, S.A., participated in by SODENA since 1996 with 14.88%, has one of the widest-ranging catalogues on the market, and is the first laboratory to produce generic medicines with Spanish capital.

" In 1996, Laboratorios Cinfa decided to go for the sector of generic medicines as a the key to bring about a major qualitative and quantitative leap in the development of the company.
This option represented a risk for Cinfa, because generics in Spain were in the early stages of introduction and there was great uncertainty regarding the legal framework and the response by consumers.
At that time SODENA helped Cinfa to assume the risk of this strategic decision by taking a stake in its capital.
Today, five years later, the decision has been shown to be the right one, and generics have indeed represented a historic leap in the evolution of Laboratorios Cinfa".
