Centro de Investigación Médica Aplicada

Participation of SODENA: 10%

Centro de Investigación Médica Aplicada (CIMA) is a project for biomedical innovation and development established through a pioneering agreement in Spain for the later development and exploitation of its results. SODENA participates with 10% of the capital, which totals 152 million euros. Other entities on board are Corporación Caja Navarra, Caja Rural de Navarra, El Corte Inglés, BBVA, Pontegadea, Omega-Capital, Group Masaveu and Unicaja.

CIMA is a research centre on the campus of the Universidad de Navarra that aims to take advantage of the synergies of this new centre with the University Clinic and the faculties of Medicine, Science and Pharmacy. It carries out research in 4 areas: oncology, cardiovascular diseases, neuro-sciences and genetic therapy in liver disease.
